Track best enjoyed with large headphones.... on a walman :)
I decided that for my audio I would take lyrics that meant something to me and overlay them on top of songs and sounds that either related to the lyrics or meant something to me as well. Music has always been what drives me, and I remember certain parts of my life by certain songs or moments that I've had with it. The idea to do album art came after I had finished the track and worked really well with what I was going for. This project means a lot to me because it turned out really spontaneous (the drawings ended up just coming out when I sat down and listened to the songs).
The art and the track are both meant to represent the journey through life, the climb and that in the end we're all ultimately free. Right before I started working on this project I had an awakening experience going to see one of my favourite bands, and that really inspired this. It represents the last two months of my life a lot through the music that was chosen and obviously there are components of the 'inner self' as well. I think those are best represented through what came out unintentionally. There are nine hidden tracks that represent my beliefs and moments through life on the album. It turned out that the first ten tracks represented my audio file and the others conveniently added the total to nineteen. One song for every year of life.
I could ramble on about the significance of each little component of the audio, but I think that's best left up to interpretation!
just incase..
