Description:
I recorded some birds chirping outside (with a camcorder), and also created a 'rain stick' sound by using a cardboard tube filled with mustard seeds. I recorded two sound clips of my own voice. That wasn't so easy as I don't like 'hearing' myself. I layered all of the clips using garage band.
My audio and object represents the connection I have to nature. I appreciate nature and acknowledge that our existence as humans depends on what nature provides to us. We breathe the air, we live on the earth and grow food on our earth; we are warmed by the sun and fires and we need water to live. These elements are essential to our existence and this project is a meant to be a meditative acknowledgment. I included a candle, water, rocks to represent these elements.
